Great clinic today!

Today I had 2 lessons with my wonderful trainer Jennifer Williams. First I had a lesson on Wiskaia. She was amazing today. We really worked on keeping her supple and more up and out to the bit. Just really overall steady, steady, steady. I was so very proud of my little princess. Then my Mr. Poet was a star. I was a little frustrated at first but once I calmed down and got him and myself on the same page he was great. We really worked on keeping him soft and bending in the rib cage and soft in the neck. He is always wanting to be stiff and fancy instead of being correct, soft, supple and fancy. We also worked on our canter pirouetts. Those are tough for my guy but he sure tried his little heart out for me. I'm so blessed to have such great horses! I sure do love them! So I have a great amount of homework to do with both of my horses until I see Jen again next month. Well that is about it for now....Until next time.....

I would like to welcome Juile S. and her boy Cody to the MM Dressage team. I'm so excited to see them grow as a team and gain confidence together. Lets see what else... I had a lesson yesterday with Janet Foy-Brown up at Blackwood farm on Poet. He was such a trooper in the clinic. I reallly learned about his neck and how he uses it against me and how to work him till he gains more strength. He was so chewy in the bit and so soft and supple in the neck. It was AMAZING!! I have a lot of homework to do before the next clinic in May with Janet. Hope we can really fix ourselves. Well off to bed so I have all the energy I need for work tomorrow and not to mention chase Brayden around the house. I can't believe he will be 2 in less than a month. Time sure does fly......Good night!

Yesterday I had one of the best rides on my coming 6 y.o. Wistar mare Wiskaia. She was amazing! She finally decided that picking up canter in either direction was not hard and did not require jumping, skipping and running through the reins to pick it up. I'm so proud of my girl! I just love her more and more...I can't forget to mention Poet was also amazing!As always. I can't wait for Jennifer to see him next month. His pirouetts are finally coming along and his passage and half steps are getting there! My training horses are doing great too. They are getting more and more relaxed and much more supple. I have to say all my horses are great and make me proud everyday! Well until next time.
